Laser 360-degree profile measurement for rods, tubes, and billets: full diameter, ovality, and shape at line speed.
Four or more linear laser sensors sit fixed in the frame and reconstruct the full cross-sectional profile as products pass through the measurement field. The system is entirely static.
Sensor configuration. Four sensors at 90-degree intervals is the standard arrangement for round, square and rectangular products. Three- and six-sensor configurations cover space-constrained lines and complex sections.
Frame options. The enclosure is built to the product range, scaled from the 3DS 245 for precision tubing and wire rod through to the 3DS 980 for heavy billets and large structural sections.
Shape Monitor. Longitudinal trend, the measured cross-section overlaid on the target tolerance template, and an overall quality gauge, on a browser interface reachable from any plant network PC.
