Aluminum.

From 0.0005 in. foil to 2.000 in. plate on X-ray and isotope platforms.

Aluminum mills run across a wider thickness span than any other alloy: foil to heavy plate, six orders of magnitude. GGC covers the span with three X-ray series (40, 100, 200 kV) and two isotope options (Am-241 foil, Cs-137 plate). Same detector stack, same calibration protocol across variants.

Foil mill X-ray conversion

A typical application: a Perfecta-40 on a 4-hi foil mill rolling ultra-thin household foil, replacing an Am-241 isotope gauge with X-ray to eliminate licensed-source handling and its NRC compliance overhead.

Out of the isotope licensing business, with no sacrifice in accuracy.

Tell us your alloy and your gauge range.

Range and accuracy move with the alloy, so we quote them against your material rather than a catalogue figure. Send the alloys you run and the thickness span.
